CASTING ALLOY DATA SEARCH (CADS)
CASTING ALLOY DATA SEARCH (CADS)
Castings are essential to thousands of manufactured parts in both the national defense and civilian realms. High-quality castings start with superb designs, using exactly the right alloys for each application. Our national defense is dependent on a robust U.S. metalcasting industrial base.
CADS is a unique resource, provided by the American Foundry Society (AFS), North America’s largest metalcasting society, in conjunction with the Defense Logistics Agency. All properties in CADS have a known ‘pedigree’. Whereas some other data sources provide information that is outdated, or that excludes original process-related details (such as part size, how it was made, or thickness of the material the test bars were taken from), CADS is different. Here is how: CADS data includes detailed casting process pedigree information, offering you, the user, a higher level of confidence.
The primary sources of CADS data are AFS research projects, as well as data from U.S.-based foundries or certain other research organizations.
Use CADS with confidence to ensure your metalcasting projects get off to a strong start. Questions? Contact Brian Began at 847-824-0181 ext. 228
